Meet the owner of Enertia Physical Therapy!
Hello and thank you for visiting our website, my name is Danielle Axtell, PT, DPT, and I am thrilled that you are here!
I have been a Physical Therapist for over 11 years working with patients across the lifespan to reduce symptoms, restore function and work in partnership to get people of all ages and abilities back to doing what they love.
My passion for Dance and Vestibular Rehabilitation dates back to my childhood love of dance. I spent my early years dancing with Kaleidoscope Dance Company, a professional modern dance company for children. As I moved into my later teen years, I created my own 501(C)(3) non-profit dance organization called Enertia Dance Company, where my love, excitement and wonder for connecting with community and the world of movement, dance and kinesiology energized.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Washington with a Bachelor's Degree in Dance and went on to achieve my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St Augustine in San Marcos, California in 2013.
Upon becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I immediately immersed myself into advanced coursework for Vestibular Rehabilitation, Orthopedics and Dance Medicine - blending my passion in all of these areas to help others improve their lives.
In 2019, I was fortunate to attend a weeklong intensive competency-based course for Pediatric Vestibular Rehabilitation. where I completed and passed rigorous practical and written assessments for competency with this specialized population,
To date, I have spent thousands of hours taking advanced coursework, evaluating and treating both pediatric and adult clients with Vestibular Conditions, as well as those with Orthopedic, Concussion, and Sports/Dance related injuries. This includes many years of dedicated efforts to create a multi-disciplinary Pediatric Vestibular Rehabilitation Program at Seattle Children's Hospital, to bridge the gap in skilled assessment and care of this underserved pediatric population.
The work to increase awareness and functional outcomes for kiddos and for adults in our community continues, and I am thrilled to offer mobile, concierge and individualized Physical Therapy services to you. Please feel free to inquire about any aspects of this service, and to see when we can get you scheduled. Thank you for trusting me with your care!
